Neighborhood Update: What Future Residents Can Look Forward to Around Sloan’s Lake

This year has proven to be very busy around Sloan’s Lake as new businesses continue to pop up around the neighborhood. The best part? Lakehouse residents will be among the first to experience these new neighbors!

From Little Man Ice Cream launching its flagship location to the highly-anticipated opening of Odell Brewing’s second location in the state, here’s the latest around Sloan’s Lake:

Little Man Ice Cream Factory
4411 W. Colfax Avenue

Little Man Ice Cream has grown to be a sweet staple within the Denver community and recently opened its new store “The Factory” in early July. Complete with a Willy Wonka-themed tasting room that features a conveyer belt that transports ice cream and goodies overhead, loyal followers of the ice cream maven can also get the same treats served at other locations from scoops of ice cream to sandwiches, sundaes and malts.

Whole Sol Blend Bar

As the first long-term retail lease signed at Lakehouse, Whole Sol Blend Bar will be opening its third location right onsite. As the first all-organic blend bar to open in the United States, Whole Sol will offer a variety of smoothie bōls, cold-pressed juices, power up shots, toasts and more. 20th Avenue & Depew Street

The Edgewater Public Market will occupy the former King Soopers space in addition to breaking ground on a new building on the southeast corner of the property. The alfresco fast-casual restaurant will feature a walk-up coffee and pastry window for those out and about around Sloan’s Lake in the mornings and will transition over to a full menu in the afternoon.

Illegal Pete’s
West Colfax Avenue & Utica Street

Named by Thrillist as having one of “The 33 Best Burritos in America”, southwestern favorite Illegal Pete’s offers a fast-casual dining experience complete with a variety of burritos, bowls, tacos, salads, nachos and fixings to choose from. The restaurant also has a full-service bar that boasts an extensive local beer and signature margarita menu, as well as a generous happy hour. The restaurant is expanding from its Arizona and California roots to Colorado throughout the next year and is currently slated to open in May of 2020, right next to the Little Man Ice Cream Factory.

Odell Brewing Co.
1625 Perry Street

Beer lovers rejoice! Fort Collins-based Odell Brewing Co. will open its second brewery in Sloan’s Lake in late summer 2020 in the Kuhlman Building at the corner of 17th and Perry. The new brewery will feature a scratch pizza kitchen, two bars equipped with 16 Odell tap handles and a 10-barrel R&D system used to brew experimental beers that will be available exclusively at the Sloan’s Lake location. Similarly to the RiNo brewhouse, the new location will also host a rooftop patio, so patrons can enjoy a brew or two overlooking Sloan’s Lake and the surrounding Rocky Mountains.
