4 Places to Get Into the Spirit of Fall Near Lakehouse

Golden leaves, brisker breezes and spicier lattes — autumn is falling into Denver’s embrace. And Lakehouse is the perfect place to cozy up to the seasonal spirit. From our lakefront community, you can take in stunning views of Sloan’s Lake’s fall foliage, enjoy a hearty harvest from our Urban Farm and explore unique attractions and activities moments from your front door. To welcome one of our favorite seasons in Denver, we’ve picked out four nearby spots that are perfect for falling into the new season.

Washington Park

We are approaching peak #Fallorado colors, and lucky for Lakehouse residents, the gorgeous autumnal hues can be enjoyed right here on the shores of Sloan’s Lake. But if you’re looking to venture just a bit further from home, the nearby Washington Park also provides amazing fall foliage immersion. As the temperatures drop, bundle up and check it out — stunning oak trees and ambery lake reflections await. (Image: Denver.org)

Belleview Station

Denver’s Autumn Bazaar is back around Belleview Station this weekend on October 2nd. Dubbed a “shopping and sipping experience,” the event will fill the streets with over 100 local craft vendors, food & fashion trucks. Family-friendly and dog-friendly, this festive market is the perfect way to ring in the new season. (Image: Denver Bazaar)

Seedstock Brewery

Celebrate Oktoberfest with German amber lagers on tap and German folk attire at Seedstock Brewery. This spot, a short 15-minute walk from Lakehouse, is known for following old-world family recipes from the Czech Republic and Germany. So when you’re ready to switch from IPAs to richer, darker malts for the fall, this place will warm you up. You can also catch the Broncos game there Sunday afternoons and stick around for their weekly bluegrass jams at 5 p.m. — you won’t regret it! (Image: Seedstock Oktoberfest)

Happy Bake Shop

It’s one thing to see the fall season, it’s another to taste it. Located less than two miles from Lakehouse on the other side of Sloan’s Lake, Happy Bake Shop is a gourmet cupcake bakery that sells all sorts of confections, from cakes to macarons. This spot is known for their terrific seasonal flavors. Having just wrapped up their September Fall Flavor Battle—wherein the bakery gave customers free fall-themed cupcake samples and had them vote on their favorites every day for two weeks—Happy Bake Shop has fall flavors on lock. Their tasty combos range from Sweet Potato Pie to Spiced Cider cupcakes—we’re eager to see what they’ll be cooking up this October.
